Welcome to the website of Gordon Muir, Consultant Urologist

Mr Muir is based at King's College Hospital and the London Bridge Hospital, London. He specialises in the minimally invasive treatment of prostate diseases and male penile problems and sexual dysfunction.  We hope you find the information on the site useful

We pioneered the use of this day care alternative to TURP in the UK.

Mr Muir was one of the earliest international users of the GreenLight laser, and the first European user of the new HPS system. He is a founder member of the International GreenLight Users’ Group, a multinational collaboration dedicated to improving results and training in laser surgery for prostate disease. He has published many papers on laser prostatectomy as well as having lectured in and taught doctors from every continent.  We are able to offer integrated diagnosis and management of benign prostate problems with a number of treatments available, nearly always  without the need to use traditional surgery.

Information on prostate treatments as well as GreenLight Laser therapy are available here.

Many men with foreskin problems are routinely offered circumcision,  when either non-operative techniques or less invasive surgery with foreskin preservation may give excellent results. Options are discussed in the link pages.

Treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and penile curvature is also discussed here.

Information on vasectomy and vasectomy reversal, as well as male factor infertility

With a group of colleagues we can offer specialist advice and treatment in all areas of urological care. We are pleased to offer information on urology problems such as prostate disease, bladder outflow obstruction, prostate cancer and laser prostatectomy. You will also find details of investigation and treatment for male erectile and penile problems, as well as  management of male infertility.  While these pages are primarily set up for existing patients, who will have been given advice on appropriate links,  other members of the public are welcome to use them as a resource.

There are pages for GP's and for patients to use.
