European Main Sponsors 1st International Radical Prostatectomy Summit European Satellite meeting at King’s College Hospital, London in association with King's College London 13th – 15th March 2002 We are pleased to announce the European satellite meeting of the 1st World Prostatectomy Summit. This will take place at King’s College Hospital, London from Wednesday 13th March to Friday 15th March 2002. The meeting will run in parallel with the live programme being conducted at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. We feel that this meeting is the greatest workshop in radical prostatectomy indications and techniques ever to have taken place. All aspects of radical prostatectomy will be covered as will be seen from a glance at the fantastic programme. In addition to the American Faculty already announced a distinguished European Faculty will present an “Old World” perspective on the issues and will chair and moderate the sessions in real time with Cleveland. Delegates will be able to watch the whole of the US operating programme in real time via a high resolution 12 channel ISDN link. For those parts of the programme where the transatlantic link is live, 2 way interaction will be available at all times and both the European and American faculty will be able to answer points or questions. Lunch and refreshments are included in the extremely reasonable conference fee, as is a reception at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, one of the most famous private galleries in the World and, perhaps appropriately, a home for many European Old Masters. This course is suitable for surgeons and other medical practitioners working in the field of prostate cancer. CME accreditation has been applied for from the European Board of Urology and the British Association of Urological Surgeons. After participating in the course, attendees will be able to discuss the technical and theoretical aspects of the most modern techniques of radical prostatectomy, as well as understanding the issues behind patient selection and post operative management. Due to technical issues the first announcement of this meeting is a little delayed, but we expect demand for the limited number of places (250) to be high and early booking is recommended.
